How To
Use Gospel Coins
This article will share with you
numerous ways you can use the
Gospel Coins to witness. Try them out!
I can't list all of the ways, but I will reveal some of the best ways I have
discovered. Be prepared. You will be shocking people all day
long as they find a gold coin and you will have fun doing so.
Now, when you come to think of it, when was the
last time you ever found a gold coin?
Gently
toss them from a stopped or slow moving car or motorcycle onto sidewalks
where people gather. It creates quite a commotion as people hear the
"cling" of money and dive to grab the gold coins. Stop-light
intersections are good places. The effect is comical and fun.
Wherever
you see kids playing, gently toss them some coins and watch the fun begin!
They love the coins.
Place
a coin in the coin-return slot in telephones and vending machines.
People are shocked to discover a gold coin was dispensed to them.
Hand
a coin to everyone you meet. If someone greets you say, "For your
kindness, I hereby offer you your reward." People do not know it is a
Gospel tract in disguise. All they see is "gold money" you are handing
them and they are in a state of shock. They take the coin and walk away
thanking you. Your job is finished, let the Lord do the rest.
Place
a coin between the pages of a book at a library and put it back on the shelf.
Someday someone will be pleasantly surprised with such a nice gift coin
bookmark. Well-worn books is a sign that the book is popular and will not
be sitting on the shelf for years without being read You can do this with
new books at bookstores too. The best books to use are the books that are
on the best-seller racks. Also, don't forget to leave one or two on the
carpet or on the seat of a chair. People will think the gold coin fell out
of someone's pocket.
If you earned $100 for each
coin you gave away would you give many coins away today?
Most people answer yes only to realize that they are willing to witness their
faith only if they are paid for it instead of witnessing for the Lord as
they should do so freely. The point is this... Jesus said we must gather
or we scatter. Distributing Gospel Coins certainly help us to gather!
Doing nothing scatters. What are you going to do today to reach the lost
with the Gospel of Christ?
Place
a coin on a sidewalk on top of a curb or step. Wherever people glance
downward before they take a step, they will see the coin, stop and "steal"
the coin swiftly out of sight. You will be well entertained.
Sharing the Gospel with Gospel Coins is a lot of fun. Just try it and
see for yourself.
When
you are finished reading a magazine, tape a Gospel Coin to the cover of the
magazine and leave it on a seat or just lay it on a sidewalk. Someone
will find it and steal the coin from the magazine. Sometimes they take
the magazine too. You will learn a lot about the thieving nature of the
unbeliever.
When
you order food, place a coin on the countertop near the cash register. Then
watch the next person that arrives to order food cautiously "steal" the
coin. Yes, the Lord has now caught that thief in the act. The
thief has some reckoning to do. Your job is done, enjoy your meal!
In
restroom leave them on the floor of a stall, or near the wash basin.
Place one under an item, like a tissue paper box or hand soap bottle, so
when the item is lifted the coin will be found.
Toss
a coin into a unoccupied parked vehicle with its window open, or in the
cargo area of a pickup truck.
Someone may toss the coin
to the ground only for the person behind them to eagerly pick it up.
You just witnessed God
using an unbeliever to deliver His Word.
In
supermarket place one on the floor, and on packaged items. You could drop some
in the top slot of beer case containers.
When
clothing shopping place a coin in pockets. Whoever buys the item gets
a gold coin surprise!
Gently
stick a coin into the bark of a tree or tape a coin to a hanging leaf.
We now have a money tree! Do this along city sidewalks and pathways in
the park.
Always
leave a coin on a park bench or bus stop seat. It looks like it fell
out of a person's pocket. Leave one on the bus seat near you and watch
how fast it will disappear.
Slip
a coin under a bottle of wine in a supermarket or variety liquor store.
Place
a Gospel Coin near the kickstand of a motorcycle, or on the asphalt by the driver
side of a car. People look down at these areas and will find the coin,
to their great surprise, and they will pick it up. People do not like to
leave gold coins hanging around. It could get into the wrong hands!
Place
a coin on a parking meter, ATM machine, a staircase, or on a home's front
door step.
Jesus said it is the
Father's good pleasure that you should bear much good fruit.
Leave
a coin on a barroom's pool table, under or inside an empty ashtray (the lost
are in bars).
Place
coins around zoos, amusement parks, museums, flea markets, malls and at
other public events.
When
in a thick crowd of people, just drop a coin. People will look for it
and believe me, it will be found.
If
you are brave, flip a coin into the air as you walk. The noise will
make everyone stop in their tracts and look behind themselves. They
all think they dropped a coin out of their own pocket. It is comical
to see this and I have never been caught playing this game.
Place
a coin near a stream of water, drop one in the shallow stream of water
where people go. If you live near the coast, salt condensing in the
air may create a white
haze covering the coin. You can soak the coin in oil, but there is a
better product called ACF-50 Anti-corrosion Formula. You can buy it a
yacht and marine supply stores in the USA or contact the manufacturer, Lear
Chemical Research, P.O. Box 1040, Station B, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
L4Y 3W3 Phone: 800-256-2548. Don't place a freshly oiled coin into the water,
just near the water's edge where someone can find it and it will not pollute
the water. You can place an oil-free coin in fresh water. Kids
will go into the water to get the coin. Or just leave one on a nature
path. Warning: Do not place coin in or near deep water so kids will not be
drawn to the danger of drowning. Just use near shallow streams by nature
walks.
It
is fun to place a coin where people will find them, like on a curb or step.
Then sit back and take a break and watch people find it. When they
leave, place another coin. This can be very entertaining.
Leave
a coin on the seat or floor of a new car or at a vintage auto rally.
Place
a coin in a drawer when you are looking to buy a recreational vehicle.
Leave
a coin under a condiment item when dining in a restaurant. Placing a coin
by the cash register too or on the carpet near the entry door and in the
restroom. You can even place one in the fold of a napkin in a dispenser.
The next person who takes the napkin gets a prize!
Give
a coin to waiters and waitresses along with your tip.
Salvation is a gift from
God, but Jesus and James also says your faith must produce good works, too!
Donate
some coins to the fire, police, rescue and SWAT team, highway patrol and the
sheriff dept. They have dangerous jobs
and need the Lord's protection. (Do not donate to jails, prisons or inmates as metal
is not allowed in those facilities, but the correctional staff employees can
receive them, with the Warden's permission).
Give
a coin to a homeless person along with some money to buy food. If a person
asks you for money, now you don't have to say no, you can give them a gold coin
and a donation if you wish and a gospel tract too!
When
you are at or near historical gold mining towns or museums, gold coins planted
work like magic.
Leave
on sidewalk near a grade school or college. A good way to reach youth for
Christ.
Many do not realize that
sharing the Gospel can be fun.
Casinos
are neat places to leave gold coins, people are money-motivated in these places.
Do
bring coins with you on weekend trips and outings and plant them to proclaim the
Gospel.
Always
leave gold coins in front of jewelry stores. People think someone dropped
a real gold coin! You can also enter the store and give them to the
employees or simply leave one on the glass countertop near gold jewelry.
They can't tell the difference which is real gold and which is not!
Place
a coin into a snow mound near a sidewalk. When the snow melts, the coin is
found. I call these tactics time bombs as they are discovered days, even
weeks later. You can place a coin into a roll of toilet tissue and
eventually the coin falls out days later. It works! You can load
about three coins in one roll. Also place one somewhere only the cleaning
person will find one.
Sharing the Gospel is the
Great Commission and you need to get busy doing it!
When
you see a book on display at a bookstore, supermarket, library or department
store that is pushing the occult demon worship, witchcraft or a false religion,
place a coin inside the book along with a Gospel tract. You should buy
some tracts that specifically address the cult or false church then slip it
inside the book's pages.
Never forget you are giving gifts to the world. The Word of God on a gift.
This is good fruit.
Send
a coin as a gift to everyone you know. It is a gift that will last a
lifetime and more! You can mail a coin in a standard paper envelope
taped to a card.
Mail
a coin to a man or woman serving in the military.
Whenever
you see brochures, magazines or newspapers stacked on a counter or display, slip
a coin under them so when the next person take the item they see the Gospel
Coin.
